Ola, pessoal, sou novo em linux e eu estou com o seguinte problema, os meus celulares não são reconhecido pelo Debian, os modelos são motorola moto G, iphone 4s, samsung galaxy s4, nenhum deles ao conectar ao Debian são encontrados, alguem saberia informar como resolver isso.

Ao que eu consegui descobri todos eles acessam o PC via MTP, e vi que en alguns sites americanos eles indicam atualizar o kernel o Debian, para acabar com imcompatibilidades no sistema, mas como sou meio leigo ainda em linux, nem sei como faço a atualização do kernel. o kernel do meu Debian é o 3.2.4.0, è atualizando mesmo o kernel que se resolve ou tem outro jeito para fazer isto.

Se sim, por favor me ajudem com um passo a passo.

Olá, apenas avisando.

Tenho Crunchbang instalado, é praticamente o Debian Wheezy puro com Openbox.

Tudo que serve pra o Debian, serve para ele.

Segui o tutorial do link e deu certo! Montei meu celular Moto G.

Se alguém tiver dificuldade, o procedimento é assim:

$ cd
$ sudo apt-get install libmtp-dev fuse libmtp9 pkg-config libfuse-dev libglib2.0-dev libmad0-dev libid3tag0-dev dh-make autotools-dev

$ wget http://www.adebenham.com/files/mtp/mtpfs-1.1.tar.gz

$ tar zxf mtpfs-1.1.tar.gz
$ cd mtpfs-1.1
$ dh_make -s -f ../mtpfs-1.1.tar.gz

$ fakeroot debian/rules binary

$ cd ..
$ sudo dpkg -i mtpfs_1.1-1_amd64.deb
$ sudo usermod -aG fuse $USER

$ mkdir myPhone

Depois pluga o aparelho pelo cabo USB e executa:

$ mtpfs myPhone

Pronto, o diretório myPhone terá tudo do aparelho. Todos os arquivos.

Pra desmontar, depois que terminar de usar, execute:

$ fusermount -u myPhone

E se quiser desinstalar o troço:

$ sudo dpkg --purge mtpfs

É isso! mais fácil que isso, só Linux Mint!

demorei mais, voltei fiz o teste com o celular moto g e deu esse resultado

não sei o que que dizer isso, mas espero que ajude na solução para o emu problema

Meu moto.g e meu lumia-520 são reconhecidos automaticamente no ubuntu-14.04 e linuxmint-17 que usam kernel-3.13.
Não tenho iphone.4 e nem galaxy.4 p/ testar !

infelizmente nos meus celulares não existe esta opção, eu ja havia lido algo sobre trocar o modo de acesso, mas testei desabilitando o modo mtp e meu motorola virou camera no nautilus, acessando apenas as fotos e não sendo possivel alterar nenhuma.

Obs: na pasta verifiquei se havia algum tipo segurança contra alteração e nas permissões eu não conseguia mudar as permissões da pasta, mesmo em modo root com o nautilus.

mas não sei se é assim mesmo, não testei e não tenho como testar aqui.

Debian é menos automático que Ubuntu e Linux Mint... então tem coisinhas pra resolver. talvez essa seja uma delas.
