Eu tenho um dell inspiron e uso o ubuntu 13.10. Toda vez q eu ligo o notebook, eu tenho que usar o comando dpkg para poder configurar o teclado, porque toda vez q eu desligo ou reinicio as configurações se perdem. Como eu faço para salvar essas configurações de teclado em definitivo?

Vc não escolheu o teclado Pt-br durante instalacao?
Vc já foi em config.sistema. >> hardware >> teclado >> layout >> Pt-br

Escolhi tudo certo na instalação e funcionou perfeitamente. Mas toda vez q eu reinicio o notebook as configurações se perdem, aí tenho q entrar no terminal e usar o comando dpkg. Eu só quero saber como faço para deixar essas configurações definitivas.

vc pode colocar a sintaxe do comando dpkg, dentro de um arquivo que inicia automático, como o autostart, o rc, o arquivo do systemd, etc...

eu uso o do Bash, mesmo, o /home/usuario/.bashrc

de uma olhada no seu arquivo /etc/default/keyboard e veja este post e as variações do comando dpkg reconfigure:

mas ainda tem um jeito fácil, é "forçar" o teclado a trabalhar em ABNT2,via X-Window, como faziam os "Dinossauros" do Linux, os do tempo da tela preta. Veja esta minha dica:

Eu tentei todas as configurações e não deu certo. Tentei até procurar o arquivo .bashrc e não achei. As configurações eu consigo fazer mas toda vez que eu reinicio elas voltam ao que era antes.

o seu bashrc está escondido, hidden , é de configuração.

poste a saída destes comandos:

$ find -name .bashrc
$ cat ~/.bashrc

e destes:

$ cd /
$ cd ~/
$ ls -a

mas se me lembro, alguns Ubuntus usavam Shell Dash e não Bash. não sei se os novos ainda usam.
