Não consigo atualizar o ubuntu [RESOLVIDO]

eu tentei instalar o virtual box e não consegui, agora quando tento atualizar dá esse erro: E: Encountered a section with no Package: header
E: Problem with MergeList /var/lib/apt/lists/archive.canonical.com_ubuntu_dists_trusty_partner_i18n_Translation-en
E: As listas de pacotes ou os arquivos de estado não puderam ser analisados ou abertos.

sudo rm /var/lib/apt/lists/* -vf
sudo apt-get update

virtualbox está instalado ou não?

fez os comandos que o clodoaldo sugeriu?

poste saída dos comandos:

$ sudo cat /etc/apt/sources.list.d/virtualbox.list
$ sudo cat /etc/apt/sources.list

Não está instalado, pq deu falha, então tento atualizar e deu isso...

Voce instalou uma virtualbox do lucid no trusty?Retire a parte do lucid da sources.list e cole isso no terminal

sudo rm /var/lib/apt/lists/* ; sudo rm /var/lib/apt/lists/partial/* ; sudo apt-get clean ; sudo apt-get -f install ; sudo apt-get update
