[DICA] ambiente gráfico e o XDM [RESOLVIDO]

Seguinte pessoal instalei com sucesso o MATE no Slackware Current:

Acontece que fiz os procedimentos normais:

# xwmconfig
 

Escolhi xinitrc.mate

E adicionei o MATE ao ~/.xinitrc

exec ck-launch-session dbus-launch mate-session
 

Porém o ambiente não é carregado. mas basta ir pra tela preta e digitar:

startx
 

e carrega o Desktop normal, qual será o bendito erro? será a falta de reiniciar?

Seguinte... reinicie e não deu certo!

Parecia que eu estava adivinhando, antes de instalar o MATE já vinha pensando em substituir o XDM por outro, como não encontrei o GDM, LightDM ou o LXDM fui de Slim.

Daí comentei as entradas referentes aos outros Login Managers em /etc/rc.d/rc.4, deixando-o assim:

E adicionei mate-session ao arquivo /etc/slim.conf. Aproveitei para configurar o auto-login, opções de screenshots e etc o arquivo ficou assim:

E para finalizar tive que fazer uma pequena modificação no arquivo ~/.xinitrc

de

exec ck-launch-session dbus-launch mate-session
 

para:

exec ck-launch-session mate-session

Cara, agora que eu vi este post. Meus parabéns. Não sou muito fã do gnome ou mate(e muito menos Unity), mas reconheço o esforço de quem os aprecia.
