-qual ubuntu vc está usando???
-pergunto pq o ubuntu utopic que aparece é o 14.10 que ainda é beta e sujeito a erros pq ainda é versão de testes
-o ubuntu-14.04 é o trusty
-afinal qual vc está usando 14.04 ou 14.10 ???

Eu estou usando o ubuntu 14.04 e na bandeja do sistema tem a mensagem de que o ubuntu não está atualizado

-vc terá que editar sua sources.lits

-abra terminal e rode o comando:
sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

-apague todo conteudo e cole sources.list abaixo que é do 14.04:
