Problema com sudo apt get update [RESOLVIDO]

Prezados,

Sou novo no linux e na programação em geral, instalei a distro ano passado para uso básico, agora estou querendo instalar um wifi usb, pesquisei bastante o processo mas para atualizar algumas coisas necessárias para isso o primeiro passo é conseguir resolver esse problema com o apt-get update.

Uso Xubuntu 17.04

Pelo o que a mensagem diz, parece que o seu Ubuntu não recebe mais atualizações.

Recomendo fazer uma instalação limpa da versão 16.04, que é mais estável e tem mais tempo de suporte.

Ubuntu-1704 foi lançado em abril/2017 e teve seu suporte encerrado e janeiro/2018
Sugiro usar Ubuntu-1604-lts que terá suporte até abril/2021

Acabei atualizando para a 17.10, também não é LST, mas ok. Foi a solução mais fácil.
