Estou com um CD do jogo F.E.A.R, o instalador permite instalar o jogo mas não permite rodá-lo, mas vi na internet que alguns usuários conseguiram instalar e rodar este jogo no Linux.

Estou com a última versão do Wine, a 1.21, ao rodar o jogo é exibida a seguinte mensagem:

Sempre é bom dar uma olhada no site appdb do wine, há sempre dicas e tutorias para o jogo...

há um tutorial de como instalar

1. Put native d3dx9_36.dll to your game or system32 folder
2. Apply 1.08 patch(if you don't want to enjoy all the game bugs...)
3. Install WMFADist.exe
4. Change
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\Direct3D\OffscreenRenderingMode
to "fbo" to get better fps and Pixel Doubling/Soft Shadows working

TRaduzindo:

1. Copie d3dx9_36.dll para a pasta system32 e marque ela como nativa no winecfg
2. instale o patch 1.08 do jogo
3. Instale WMFADist.exe

O modo Multi-player está funcionando, somente o modo single-player não funciona.

Vou tentar as dicas que você me deu!

Gesousa,

Estou conseguindo jogar o F.E.A.R online, mas o single player não funciona.
A versão do Wine que estou usando é 1.1.21; não existe nela a chave de registro do tutorial, também não consegui encontrar na internet a dll oferecida pelo tutorial e nem mesmo em uma instalação do Windows!
