Caros amigos(a) tenho um problema e queria muito resolver, eu não sou nenhum técnico do linux sou simplesmente um usuário, o problema é o seguinte após o termino de instalação de qualquer programa aparecem um enorme lista dos seguintes erros:

installArchives() failed: W: Duplicate sources.list entry http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ oneiric-security/main i386 Packages (/var/lib/apt/lists/security.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dists_oneiric-security_main_binary-i386_Packages) W: Duplicate sources.list entry http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ oneiric-security/res.......

Eu estava instalando esse programa ai só para testa mas é sempre assim, será que tem solução, pois sei que são resolvidos por favor!

Entre no terminal e logue como root:

sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

Coloque um "#" na frente da uma das linhas que esta apresentando o erro no caso:
http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ oneiric-security/main
Ficaria assim:

#http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ oneiric-security/main

sudo synaptic

no menu configuração

Repositorios

tem uns applets (abas) com a lista de repositório, é só desmarcar os que dão erro, simplesmente porque estão duplicados, mas na verdade isso apenas aborrece com mensagens.

Seu sources.list esta misturando versões isso não é legal para manter o sistema estavel:

esta usando o oneirc 11.10 e o jaunty 9

Da uma olhada neste link:
http://www.vivaolinux.com.br/dica/sourceslist-para-o-Ubuntu-1110-Oneiric-Ocelot/
É so trocar o conteudo de seu arquivo:(/etc/apt/sources.list)

sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

E trocar tudo por isto:

# Ubuntu 11.04 Oneiric.
deb http://mirror.rit.edu/ubuntu/ oneiric main restricted universe multiverse
#deb http://br.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ oneiric main restricted universe multiverse

# Ubuntu 11.04 Oneiric (Security Updates).
deb http://mirror.rit.edu/ubuntu/ oneiric-security main restricted universe multiverse
#deb http://br.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ oneiric-security main restricted universe multiverse

# Ubuntu 11.04 Oneiric (Updates).
deb http://mirror.rit.edu/ubuntu/ oneiric-updates main restricted universe multiverse
#deb http://br.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ oneiric-updates main restricted universe multiverse

# Ubuntu 11.04 Oneiric (Backports).
deb http://mirror.rit.edu/ubuntu/ oneiric-backports main restricted universe multiverse
#deb http://br.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ oneiric-backports main restricted universe multivers

# Ubuntu 11.04 Oneiric (Partner).
deb http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu oneiric partner

# Ubuntu 11.04 Oneiric (Extras).
deb http://extras.ubuntu.com/ubuntu oneiric main

# Ubuntu 11.04 Oneiric (Medibuntu).
# ChaveGPG: sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install medibuntu-keyring && sudo apt-get update
deb http://packages.medibuntu.org/ oneiric free non-free

Depois de alterar e salvar o arquivo execute:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

O primeiro atualiza a lista de pacotes e versões disponíveis e o segundo atualiza o sistema.
