Vários erros em instalação limpa do Ubuntu 16.04

Boa tarde foristas,

migrei do Windows 10 para o Ubuntu 16.04 e venho enfrentando inúmeros problemas para ajustar alguns problemas que não existiam antes. Primeiramente o touchpad não funciona, como se não fosse reconhecido pelo SO. Varias paginas web travam quando um pluggin javascript e requerido. As teclas especiais (Fn) nativas do notebook não funcionam. Sempre que o SO e desligado a maquina congela na tela de turnoff. Ja tentei algumas ideias que encontrei em vários fórum mas sem sucesso algum, sendo assim, poderiam dar uma mão aqui por favor? Quais teste posso fazer para ter mais informações desses erros?

Informações do sistema: Acer aspire es1-111m-p2yu - pentium n3540 2,16gh 64 bit; 8gb DDR3; Ubuntu 16.04 LTS instalação limpa sem Win10

Qual a saída dos comandos?

sudo fdisk -l

Quando você fala que a maquina congela pode ser falta de manutenção no HW ou o HD esta ruim.

Sabe qual o modelo do teclado? Já vi muito note com Teclado Padrão Americano

Teste com um teclado USB comum padrão abnt2.

Obrigado pela ajuda, o HD sempre funcionou bem no Win10 entao nao desconfiei de defeito nele. O teclado realmente e padrao americano, pq comprei ele em Nova Iorque. Pra usar o note so consigo com mouse wireless, com teclado wireless ABNT funciona certinho tambem. Esse modelo que voce envio link esta certo, esse modelo mesmo. Segue resultado dos testes

Instala o pacote smartmontools no sistema.

Audio, rede e video estao funcionando sem problemas. Um detalhe que esqueci e que estou rodando o SO em modo Legancy, ja que em UEFI o GRUB nao e encontrado.

MeiaNoite, muito obrigado pela ajuda. Ja atualizei o java, mas em varias paginas o erro persiste. Realmente acho que a solucao mais facil seria testar outra distribuicao, algum motivo especial para recomendar o Linux mint?

O motivo especial é que pelos teste vi que é menos problemático que o Ubuntu e é ideal para os iniciantes.

Pode testar o Debian também.

1-baixe linux-mint
http://mint.c3sl.ufpr.br/stable/18.1/linuxmint-18.1-mate-64bit.iso

2-grave pendrive do linux-mint

3-rode e teste pendrive o linux-mint sem instalar

4- se tudo funcionar sem problemas instale usando opção pagar disco e instalar linxmint
