Erro upt-get update no Ubuntu 14.04

Oi estou tentando executar o comando sudo apt-get update mas não estou tendo sucesso logo aparece essa mensagem abaixo por favor preciso de ajuda (detalhe eu estou conectado a internet)

Você tem regras de squid ou regra de iptables ai direcionando todo o trafego para o endereço : 10.6.0.15:8080 ?

cara não sei te responder isso, antes eu tinha configurado o proxy para que eu pudesse acessar meu notebook no meu trabalho, em casa eu mudei o proxy para none bom foi só isso que eu fiz e agora eu não consigo baixar programa nenhum via terminal e nem instalar programas no mesmo e nem executar um comanda básico como sudo apt-get update

O apt-get está tentando utilizar este proxy provavelmente, precisa remover esta configuração do mesmo.

Edite o arquivo : /etc/apt/apt.conf

E veja se tem nele uma linha como "Acquire::http::Proxy "http://username:password@my.proxy.host:port";

Se tiver apague ela para remover a configuração de proxy do apt-get

Boa tarde

Estava com o mesmo problema, e verifiquei que o arquivo /etc/resolv.conf estava sem nenhuma configuração de DNS, após inserir nameserver 8.8.8.8
nameserver 8.8.4.4

e salvar, rodei o apt-get update e a atualização foi feita.
