Color Video Equalizer reset ao fechar mplayer

Meu mplayer funciona ok roda todos os formatos e os ajustes brilho, contraste funcionam bem. O único problema é que quando fecho o mplayer ou gmplayer esses ajustes de brilho se resetam. Como deixa-los fixos?
Sei que pode ser uma pegunta boba mas preciso da resposta.
