Problema para reproduzir DVD (Totem, Mplayer e VLC)

Caros,

Não consigo reproduzir um DVD da região 2 (Europa) com os softwares (Totem, Mplayer e VLC), o áudio fica péssimo e o vídeo sem definição (em anexo printscreen do vídeo), segue informações linux:

1) Debian Squeeze 2.6.32-5-amd64
2) Instalei as bibliotecas libdvdcss2 e libdvdread4
3) Tentei utilizar os software Totem, Mplayer e VLC.

Na instalação atual do Debian (64-bit) não consigo reproduzir o DVD, porém em uma instalação anterior do Debian (32-bit) no mesmo Notebook consigo reproduzir o DVD.

Mesmo instalando o pacote indicado (jack), o erro persiste, ou seja, não consigo visualizar a imagem do DVD nem entender o áudio..
