Pessoal, estou com um problema para dar iniciar os gráficos(startx) no meu novo notebook, já instalei e reinstalei o Slackware(14.2) de todas as formas e nada. Eu nunca tive problemas anteriormente em outros PCs. Já tentei atualizar os drivers da NVIDIA e INTEL graphics e nada.
Este problema já vem me tirando o sono a alguns dias, lutei e relutei para não ter que abrir este topico, mas tive que apelar para a ajuda dos universitários.

Agradeço a prontidão de todos e peço desculpas pela demora.

Verifiquei e o meu notebook tem a tecnologia nVidia Optimus, conforme o lcavalheiro mencionou. Eu nem sabia disso, dei uma pesquisada e estava lá!! Já até aprendi para que serve, mas enfim, ainda quero o slackzin rodando no notebook, só para eu poder dormir tranquilamente.
Vou ver como instalo esses drivers e assim que eu conseguir posto o resultado aqui, caso alguém conheça sobre essa tecnologia e quiser dar dicas, ficarei agradecido.
