Nesse compilou o seu próprio pacote certo?
Testou com o do Alien?
Tem o restricted com AAC e outras questões de lei (https://slackware.nl/people/alien/restricted_sbrepos/)

Minha opinião: passe a usar a -current onde o FFMPEG já vem incluso por padrão PONTO. Daí quando se algum dia lançarem o 15.0, bastará editar o mirror lá em /etc/slackpkg/mirrors trocando-o para usar o espelho do 15.0 em vez do -current.

Simples assim.

Sim, tem bastante coisa. Principalmente para usar encoder/decoder via hardware.
