Civilization 5 crasha imediamente após clicar em jogar, o log da steam abaixo:

Será que é algo relacionado à runtime? https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam-for-linux/issues/4478

Você podia tentar instalar o Linux Steam Integration do Solus pelo Snap para tentar usar o runtimes diferentes e ver se resolvia:

Se bem que, penso eu cá com meus botões, o snap do LSI pode estar meio abandonado, se a gente pensar o afastamento do Ikey do Solus. Ele parece estar bem inativo no Github:

Steam runtime ativado e desativando esse intercept library parece ter feito o serviço.
