Dúvida sobre o repositório

Pessoal,tenho o Linux Fenix 2008,ele é baseado no Ubuntu,porém percebi que não é mais possível instalar programas via repositório,como no Synaptic(Gerenciador de pacotes),o que devo fazer para atualizar esse repositório,que não instala nenhum programa.

Deveria compilar um novo kernel?
O que devo fazer?

O arquivo sources.list está zerado ?????

O que tem lá ????

/etc/apt/sources.list

Deveria compilar um novo kernel? Não.

O que devo fazer? Descobrir qual versão do ubuntu ele se basea, configurar os repositorios manulamente e instalar usando o apt-get ou aptitude. Tem certeza que não nenhum o Adicionar e Remover programas, ai?

Essa versão é com gnome ou kde?

fenix 2008 deve ser ubuntu hardy ou intrepid.

eh vc vai ter que fazer o que jah foi dito, ver sua lista do source.list e modificar se for preciso para um mirror que satisfaz

Pelo que pude ver, seu repositório tem algumas linhas comentadas, mas não seria motivo para não estar instalando programa nenhum. Seria também, muita coincidência, você testar diversos programas e todos eles estarem nos endereços comentados.

Bastante estranho !!!!!

Ainda pouco, fui limpar a pasta cache dos repositórios, e sem querer, apaguei a pasta partial dentro da pasta do apt. Ficou dando esse mesmo problema não instalava e nem desinstalava nada. Você fez algo parecido ????

Resolvi o problema, simplesmente criando novamente a pasta partial.

As URL's da sua lista não existem mais, pois o Gutsy é EOL (End Of Life).

Para usar os repositórios de uma versão EOL, vc precisa usar a URL "http://old-releases.ubuntu.com" e sua lista deve estar assim:
