Então, no boot do sistema continua a mesma mensagem no carregamento 'splash':

"Waiting for network configuration...
Waiting up to 60 more seconds for network configuration...
Boot system..."

Logo depois de carregado o sistema, abri o firefox e nada de conexão.

???

Abra outro shell..

E faça:
# echo "blacklist 8139cp" | tee -a /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf
# echo "blacklist mii" | tee -a /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf
# echo "blacklist 8139too" | tee -a /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf

Remova o modulo 8139too do arquivo:/etc/modules
# nano /etc/modules

E reinicie e posta ai:

# lsmod
# dmesg
# ifconfig -a
