Ok meu nego, então na interface vc até pega um IP da internet, lá no messages da pra ver um kill signal no ppp0, você mesmo quem encerrou o cancelou o processo?

enquanto conectado, consegue pingar o IP 74.125.47.147?
faz também um "traceroute 74.125.47.147" e um "telnet 74.125.47.147 80" e ve se conecta.
quando pingar deixa outro terminal com aquele "tail -f /var/log/messages"

depois de conectado, manda um ifconfig e olha a interface ppp0, depois de uns 5 minutos, olha de novo no ifconfig e ve se ela ainda esta ativa e com o mesmo IP.

também posta a saida do comando "ethtool ppp0"

e a saida do "/etc/resolv.conf"

perde a esperança não meu rei, logo tu conecta...

Olá Barrabás, eu que encerrei o processo no ppp0...

muito estranho, ele ta apontando pro teu gateway (modem) 192.168.1.1 e de lá não sai, já fez um reset no modem e tentou (reset to factory standards)?
