Configuração do VMware no Fedora Core 5



A versão VMware Workstation 5.5.2 não funciona com o kernel 2.6.15 do Fedora Core 5, apresentando erro de "gcc" e C compiler, sendo necessário a atualização do kernel para a versão 2.6.18 e instalação do pacote gcc para c++.

Olá Alex,

Voce pode dar uma força para instalar o workstation? To querendo virtualizar mais um OS, estou utilizando fedora 5. Ja tentei instalar o o workstation mas to apanhando um pouco.
Baixei o VMware-workstation-6.0.0-45731.i386.tar.gz, descompactei e tentei instalá-lo através do ./vmware-install.pl. e Depois com /usr/bin/vmware-config.pl.
Depois de informar o caminho da pasta /usr/src/kernels/.../include da um erro (acho que de compilçao) e para a instalaçao...

O erro que acontece é o seguinte:
None of the pre-built vmmon modules for VMware Workstation is suitable for your
running kernel. Do you want this program to try to build the vmmon module for
your system (you need to have a C compiler installed on your system)? [yes]

Using compiler "/usr/bin/gcc". Use environment variable CC to override.

What is the location of the directory of C header files that match your running
kernel? [/usr/src/kernels/2.6.20-1.2948.fc6-i686/include]
