Bom dia.Vou logo ao assunto pois já não estou conseguindo raciocinar direito pois tá f... de resolver.
Bem instalai o Arch Linux (2009.08) numa partição que tenho em um HD de teste em meu PC. Até ai tudo bem. Logo veio o problema de fazer a devida atualização do sistema, como tenho internet via rádio e preciso logar no servidor com usuário e senha tive que executar essa atualização rodando um live cd e montando a partição do arch como raiz com o comando "chroot". Atualização rodou perfeitamente. Próximo passo que fiz vou de instalar o navegador em modo texto o "lynx" para poder me autenticar no servidor de minha internet quando estiver rodando o Arch diretamente.
Quando iniciado o Arch, executei o lynx e me autentiquei. Pronto conexão estabelecida. Instalei o "xorg" e o "gnome" mais não funfou. Tenho uma placa da nvidia (geforce fx5200) que tentei instalar com o comando "pacman -S nvidia nvidia-utils", mais nada de subir a parte gráfica. Então notei que para minha placa de vídeo o driver é "nvidia-173xxx" e "nvidia-utils-173xxx" mais quando executo ele me retornar o error:
# pacman -S nvidia-173xxx
error: 'nvidia-173xxx': could not find or read package
#
Então não sei mais o que devo fazer.
Vou deixar o arquivo do "/var/log/Xorg.0.log" abaixo para devida ajuda.
