Resolução de vídeo

pessoal, estou com o Ubuntu 8.10 (intrepid) Gnome 2.24.1 e kernel: 2.6.27-7-generic.

Video é VIA Technologies, Inc. (ASUSTeK Computer Inc.) K8M890CE/K8N890CE [Chrome 9].


Meu x.org

e não consigo mudar a resolução para 1024x768

alguém pode me ajudar?

kra verifica direito, este não pode ser todo o conteúdo do deu arquivo xorg.conf pois está faltando muita configuração.

alt+f2

copie e cole a linha abaixo:

gksu gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf

copie e cole o resultado aqui.

Aff.. fui ver agora o ubuntu 8.10, não utiliza mais o xorg.conf ¬¬

mas pelo que eu vi, vc ainda pode configurar algumas opções nele que vai rodar ...

então tenta adicionar a linha Driver "via" abaixo das linhas:

Section "Device"
Identifier "Configured Video Device"
Driver "via"
EndSection

e na sessão do scree adiciona assim:

Section "Screen"
Identifier "Default Screen"
Monitor "Configured Monitor"
Device "Configured Video Device"
DefaultDepth 24
SubSection "Display"
Depth 24
Modes "1280x1024" "1024x768" "640x480"
EndSubSection
EnEndSection
