Internet não conecta Gentoo [RESOLVIDO]

xerxes eu ja tinha tentado isso tbm mano e nada , não pingava nem wifi nem cabeada , segui os passos do ziegler.israel e agora ta pingando , vou tentar instalar o xorg e o ambiente grafico agora :) valeu mano

Pelas suas respostas da para ver que conseguiu a rede cabeada, quanto a o wifi, sua placa não foi reconhecida.
O módulo certo pode não estar instalado, ou ela pode nem ter suporte.
Para ajudarmos poste a saída do lspci -k( o comando tente ser rodado como root), só assim conseguiremos saber qual sua controladora wireless e se ela tem suporte.

eu vi tbm que tinha que colocar algumas coisas em /etc/portage/package.use para o portage parar de reclamar , o que seria isso?

Cara observe as mensagens no momento que dá o erro:

Isso é erro de dependência. Instala os pacotes que ele reclama faltar e tente instalar novamente o que você quer. Observe a próxima mensagem de erro, se houver. Pode indicar uma nova dependência.

Para entender as variáveis USE só lendo a documentação, pois é meio extenso pra explicar aqui.

ainda est faltando pacotes para seu suporte de rede completo.
como vc vai instalar interface grafica, tente tambem instalar o gerenciador de rede grafico WICD, porque ele costuma funcionar
bem tanto para a as cabeadas, como para as wireless.

Não sei se instalou, mas se não, instale estes pacotes:

wireless-tools
net-tools
pciutils
xterm
twm
xclock
wicd OU networkmanager (use um ou outro)

ative serviços importantes para serem executados durante o boot, com os comandos:

# rc-update add dhcpcd default
# rc-update add dbus default

Só para ter o "mínimo".

Depois disso você poderá iniciar um ambiente simples com o comando "startx".

Agora sobre a conexão, se tem rede cabeada ÓTIMO.

Agora precisa habilitar o suporte para rede sem fio. Se a rede sem fio não aparece com o comando "ifconfig -a", quer dizer que você não habilitou o módulo da placa de rede sem fio.

Aí vai precisar saber qual é o modelo dela para saber o módulo. Isso você descobre com com o comando:

# lspci | grep Wireless

ou

# lspci | grep Network

Quando souber o modelo da placa de rede sem fio, procure por ela no gerenciador de pacotes.

Exemplo, a minha placa é: Broadcom Corporation BCM4313.

Eu procurei por "broadcom" no Portage:

# emerge -S broadcom

Se tiver o Eix instalado pode usar:

# eix -S broadcom

(nesse caso substitua "broadcom" pela palavra chave da sua placa)

Depois instala o firmware Linux:

# emerge linux-firmware

E instala o firmware da placa de rede, no meu caso, exemplo:

net-wireless/broadcom-sta

Aí precisa reinicializar o sistema para ver se vai rolar.

Comigo rolou! Só tive um problema atípico, que foi conflito de módulos, mas é que minha placa é problemática no Linux e precisei colocar uns módulos na blacklist.

Mas em teoria, é mais ou menos isso.

Só para constar, ele postou acima o resultado do lspci -k, e a placa dele é uma atheros.
Basta ele instalar o linux-firmware, e depois é só fazer como você disse.

Boa tarde pessoal , ontem fiquei o dia todo "fuçando" no handbook do gentoo e resolvi reinstalar usando o cd minimal ao inves de um livecd de outra distro, achei melhor , a internet cabeada reconhece apos o boot , só que agora surgiu outro problema quando seleciono o gentoo no lilo o sistema não entra, primeiro achei que fosse algo do kernel pq usei o genkernel ai resolvi compilar na "mão" o kernel e acontece a mesma coisa.
Segue a mensagem de erro:
