ajuda pra instalar GCC 4.7.2

boa tarde!
bem,estou tentando instalar o Gcc 4.7.2.tar.bz2.eu descopacto ele no terminal tudo certinho,faço o ./configure e vai tudo bem.mas na hora do MAKE eu pego esse erro que não sei resolver,ele aparece lá no final:

estou tentando a tarde inteira um meio de instalar o gcc corretamente mas não dá.espero que possam me ajudar.

Deu erro no comando ./configure deve estar faltando alguma coisa, para saber é só consultar o config.log. É isso que ta escrito.

Você precisa instalar as bibliotecas PPL.

Pelo que parece se instala com aptitude ou synaptic.

tentei instalar o ppl mas fala que preciso do GMP versão 4.1.3 ou maior.mas acontece que já tenho ele instalado,na versão 5.1.0

olha o erro que deu na hora de instalar o ppl:

Sinceramente acho que seria mais fácil você instalar o GCC pelo apt-get.
$sudo apt-get install gcc
ou
#apt-get install gcc
Ou mesmo baixa - lo aqui por pacote .deb.
http://packages.debian.org/wheezy/gcc
E instala - lo com:

# dkpg -i (gcc-version).deb

Se você quiser ficar copilando tudo o Debian não é a distribuição correta.

Mas, se você quiser teimar em copila - lo, instala a versão mais velha daquele programa ali.

Acho que tem a opção para instala - lo ainda pelo Synaptic .

mas as versoes que tem pelo synaptic e apt-get sempre sao desatualizadas,por isso baixei a mais nova do site oficial.no synaptic tem só que é a versao 4.4.3 se nao me engano.sempre gostei dos meus programas atualizados :(

Bom se você quiser uma distro que sempre ta atualizada na ultima versão, eu recomendo você usar um deste Majaro, Arch Linux ou Sabayon.

que tenso.eu queria aprender a instalar programas sem depender do synaptic e apt-get,na raça mesmo,mas tudo que tento instalar sempre da erro,não imorta qual programa seja.no caso sempre falta uma dependencia pra poder instalar um programa,e pra instalar essa dependencia precisa de outra dependecia e assim por diante.

É assim mesmo, ainda bem que você não tentou instalar o Vlc.

Tem algumas distros que já vem mais completas com as bibliotecas.

Já pessoas instalando as bibliotecas pelo apt-get, e depois copilavam o programa.
