Sim, o comando para a mudança do theme foi como root, o icone do eclipse já esta na minha area de trabalho, mas mesmo instalando o eclipse do site oficial pelo slackbuilds como foi recomendado pelo colega, ele continua fechando sozinho quando tento acessar alguma aba ou qualquer com na IDE.
Tem que ser feito como usuário normal o comando que te passei.
