Estou com um sistema de arquivo samba rodando nessa maquina, e esses são grupos da empresa.

Deu essa msg de erro quando digitei o código que você me informou.

server:~# groupdel dualadmin & userdel -r dualadmin

groupdel : não foi possível remover grupo primário do usuário.

Produção, é que entrei na empresa agora e eles me pediram para alterar todas as senhas dos servidores que são um total de 7. Não sei como esse cara que configurou esse servidor fez isso de manter essa senha root sempre a mesma, mesmo após usar o passwd para altera-la.

Tá como é produção, por prudência há de se fazer backup dos arquivos.

 cp -av /etc/group /group 

 cp -av /etc/passwd /passwd 

 cp -av /etc/shadow /shadow 

Agora tente assim;

 # userdel -r dualadmin 

 # groupdel dualadmin

Foi removido o usuário e o grupo mais continuo logando com os 2 usuários... esse negocio ta complicado !!

Cara vamos entender isso ai primeiro...
Você se loga com as duas senhas como exatamente? SSH? No console ? Ou só da isso no sudo ?

Tem algum LDAP rodando ai(Windows AD, OpenLDAP)?

SSH. São servidores da empresa, eles pediram pra eu alterar as senhas do root, porem, a senha de antigamente fica sempre fixa. São 7 unidades em lugares diferente e apenas em 2 consegui alterar utilizando o passwd as outras estão dando esse problema de ficar com 2 senhas, a que já estava e a que eu acabei de criar com passwd.

Ok vamos fazer um teste assim.
[1] Tente no console e veja se passa com as duas senhas.
[2] Teste o SSH em outro computador(quero ver se tem alguma senha por chave publica do SSH, se tiver, em outro micro vai dar para logar apenas com um senha acredito).

Você tem algum LDAP rodando ai ?(AD, OpenLDAP)

Não tem LDAP não. O problema que só acesso remotamente esses servidores, pois como falei são unidades em lugares diferentes(cidades), estou em brasília e mexendo no servidor de BH agora e nele consigo logar com as 2 senhas.

O root sempre aceitas as 2 senhas, quando altero pelo passwd ele altera somente a segunda senha, a primeira nunca é alterada.
