O comando "X -configure" (rode como root) gera um arquivo chamado xorg.conf.new. Posta aqui esse arquivo que o comando cria, por favor. Pode me dar uma idéia do que está acontecendo.

Baixei o arquivo do script!

(1) Criei um arquivo chamado ScriptSlacware.sh e colei todo o conteudo do script sugerido dentro do arquivo;

(2) Depois executei o seguinte comando:

Mint Downloads # ./ScriptSlacware.sh
Usage:
--install Set up nvidia driver files
--remove Return to stock xorg files and remove all symlinks
--help Show this help message

(3) Depois usei:

Mint Downloads # ./ScriptSlacware.sh --install
$Installing to nvidia-driver files!

Make sure the nvidia driver is ENABLED in /etc/X11/xorg.conf
and in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d.
Otherwise, this may lead to improperly working drivers.
./ScriptSlacware.sh: 47: cd: can't cd to /usr/libLIBDIRSUFFIX

Mas deu erro na linha 47

(4) Fiz o mesmo para --remove e deu o mesmo erro na linha 47, conforme pode ser visto abaixo:

Mint Downloads # ./ScriptSlacware.sh --remove
$Returning to stock xorg files!

Make sure the nvidia driver is DISABLED in /etc/X11/xorg.conf
and in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d.
Otherwise, this may lead to improperly working drivers.
./ScriptSlacware.sh: 47: cd: can't cd to /usr/libLIBDIRSUFFIX

(5) Para o comando X -configure deu isso aqui:

Mint Downloads # X -configure

Fatal server error:
Server is already active for display 0
If this server is no longer running, remove /tmp/.X0-lock
and start again.

É... nem sempre a gambiarra funciona. E o xorg.conf.new que o comando passado geraria, como ficou?

Rodei o comando como root. Antes de usar o terminal sempre mando um "sudo su". Mas não teve jeito! Repare que não foi possível rodar um X -configure...

Hm... Mata o X (normalmente o comando

 # killall X 

resolve, mas pesquise como se faz isso na sua distro), e roda o comando de novo.

Pessoal será que posso dar um rm -rf em .XO-lock?

Para que o comando X -configure funcione direito?

O que acham?

Melhor matar o X do modo tradicional, eu sei que remover o X0-lock daria certo no Slackware, mas no Mint não tenho a menor idéia.

Agora temos o seguinte erro:

X -configure

Alguém tem alguma sugestão para resolver esse problema?
