PHP no Netbeans , aparecer no Firefox?

Sou iniciante no PHP,

Estou com dificuldade para configurar o Apache e PHP no Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS
e programar no Netbeans

Depois de criar os arquivos index e o de programação não consigo executá-los e aparece o seguinte no firefox:

Not Found



The requested URL /imc/index.php was not found on this server.

Apache/2.4.18 (Ubuntu) Server at localhost Port 80

 

tenho instalados:
apt-get install mysql-server apache2 libapache2-mod-php7.0 php7.0 php7.0-mysql phpmyadmin

Syntax OK


A parte de configurar o /etc/apache2/apache2.conf, como faço? meu IP não é estático é Vivo(antigo speed), sempre muda.

No navegador ao digitar http://localhost
Aparece:
404 not found
Not Found

Apache/2.4.18 (Ubuntu) Server at localhost Port 80

Se possível apago e reseto tudo me enrolei com vários tutoriais

Tentei o XAMPP também e nada....

Por favor alguém poderia dar uma força de como configuro para usar o PHP no NetBeans?

Verifique se os arquivos criados no netbeans estao em /var/www/http (ou htdocs, algo assim), pois só assim seus arquivos do netbeans serão reconhecidos direto ao rodar por ele.

Se estiver disposto, tente instalar por partes, remova o que tem ai e faça por partes.
Primeiro o apache, depois o php e na sequencia o mysql.

Esse sinal de maior ">" não era para estar aí na linha 12 do arquivo 000-default.conf;
Edita o arquivo '/etc/apache2/sites-available/000-default.conf' e tira esse sinal de maior.
Após editar o arquivo, reinicie o serviço do apache:

/etc/init.d/apache2 restart 

Depois, tente acessar o localhost digitando APENAS A PALAVRA 'localhost', sem p http:// no inicio.
