Erro de escrita - URGENTE

instalai o ProFTPd no meu server dedicado e não estou conseguindo enviar arquivos pelo FTP para a pasta /var/www/html. Na /var/www/ manda normalmente. Seria alguma permissão que deveria efetuar?
