nao conheco o sistema nem o software que esta sendo instalado mas vale a pena dar um ./configure --help e veja as opções verifica se nao tem a opção pra definir manualmente os diretorios do X

a distribuição metasys é baseada no fedora e acompanha o KDE , mas mesmo assim agradeço pela ajuda

Aconselho a você verificar os pacotes instalados, e verificar se as bibliotecas X estão instaladas. Se não as instale. :-)

onde encontro essas bibliotecas x e como instalar?

Olá!
Vá em "Configurar seu computador", após aberto clique na opção "Visualiza software que podem ser instalados e realiza a instalação de pacotes". E no campo de procura, escreva a lib e se encontrou, faça o procedimento de instalação.
Este é um caminho para solução.

em primeiro lugar obrigado pelo ajuda, mas voce poderia ser mais especifico , eu não entendi a parte de comfigurar o computador é por que eu sou iniciante

Instale kdebase-dev e xlibs-dev.
