eu configuro a resolução do meu lcd pela placa e não pelo monitor.

que nem eu uso 1440x900

só add a sessão screen http://www.vivaolinux.com.br/etc/xorg.conf-17

Bom dia a que uso normalmente por causa do meu monitor é a 1024x768 com 60 Hzt, mais um problemão quando fiz a modificação usando o modo do Douglas, simplesmente não abre mais o monitor diz apenas que as configurações do x estão invadidas.... ou uso em modo texto ou nada

tenho uma ideia, gera uma nova xorg.conf

assim:

# X -configure
# cp /root/xorg.conf.new /etc/X11/xorg.conf
# reboot

assim ele ja vai detectar tudo, e vai funcionar normalmente xD

nao esqueça de fazer tudo isso como root

Só uma duvida vou ter que mudar como antes o /etc/X11/xorg.conf ou deixo ele como esta e uso sua dica?

Tive que reinstalar o sistema depois de mexer com o /etc/X11/xorg.conf, por isso estou perguntando
