Apliquei este comando no Ubuntu-10.10 e deu zerado, sem nenhum erro. Rapaz, tu instalou coisa pra caramba aí de forma incorreta. Antes de mover qualquer coisa, vamos tentar consertar os pacotes quebrados.
No terminal:
sudo dpkg-reconfigure -a
sudo apt-get update

O comando está errado, veja o que digitou: sudo dpkg-reconfigure a
Quando o certo é: sudo dpkg-reconfigure -a

Aplique o comando corretamente, por favor, e atualize os repositórios: sudo apt-get update

Se não aparecer mais nenhum erro, seu problema está resolvido.

agora aparece esta mensagem...

Veja este tópico, nele acharam a solução para o seu mesmo problema.
Como não sei o que aconteceu de fato com seu sistema, tente aplicar as soluções postadas lá.

Olá amigo, então até li o que vc me indicou mas como sou novo neste mundo linux não saberia fazer o que manda lá pra achar o problema.
