Porque minha internet está lenta?! ubuntu 12.04 [RESOLVIDO]

Boa noite pessoal,tenho um laptop Inspiron 3250 N4110 i5, 6Gb ddr3,e no entanto istalei a distro ubuntu 12.04 e não sei que cargas d'água a minha conexão wifi com a internet(5Mb - velox) fica muito lenta ao passo que quando o meu laptop esta conectado diretamente ao roteador a net funciona normalmente. Alguém sabe que restrição é essa na conexão wifi que está impedindo, será que é o firewall do linux ou roteador que impeça a velocidade "normal"?(roteador ZTE - ZXV10 W300)

1. verifique o sinal do wi-fi
2. teste com outro DNS, por exemplo do Google (8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4)

Atheros AR9285 Wireless
If you have an Atheros AR9285 wireless card on Ubuntu 9.04 and cannot get it working, this is for you.

Ubuntu did not automatically detect my card (AR9285) and spent many hours trying to figure this out. The purpose of this is to show you how to get your Atheros AR9285 Wireless Network Adapter working without those many hours of finding the wrong answers.

It is very simple.

Download a stable release (I downloaded compat-wireless-2.6.30.tar.bz2) from the following website to your desktop:
http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Download/stable/

Open up Terminal and type:

cd compat-wireless-2.6.30
make
sudo make install
sudo make unload

Restart.
