Ao iniciar o sistema recebo a seguinte mensagem:

Erro encontrado no carregamento do /home/usuario/.profile:

tput: No value for $TERM and no -T specified

Como resultado a sessão não sera configurada corretamente.
Corrija o problema o mais rápido possível.

Esse .profile carrega o .bashrc... pelo visto está reclamando da variável TERM q podem estar mal setada no .bashrc.... passa o .bashrc aí pra gente dar uma zoiada nele. Agora estou no windowns... mas se vc der um "echo $TERM" deve aparecer um valor aí... se não aparecer resultado nenhum é esse o pepino...

Os arquivos .bashrc e .profile são copiados de /etc/skel durante a criação do usuário. Para voltar ao original vc pode fazer cp /etc/skel/.profile ~/.profile ou cp /etc/skel/.bashrc ~/.bashrc tomando o cuidado de fazer uma cópia de backup antes.

Agora, se quer consertar o sistema vc deve voltar a um estado consistente e depois ir mudando aos poucos. Uma dica p testar o .bashrc sem precisar deslogar ou reiniciar é fazer uma mudança e depois digitar source ~/.bashrc ou . ~/.bashrc daí se a mudança gerar problema vc desfaz. Vc também pode testar fazendo login via su (su "nome do usuario")

Cara, onde vc arrumou esse script? Tá bem escrito pra caramba!! Não entendo quase nada de Shell, mas pelo pouco q entendo percebo q o programador soube escolher os comandos mais rápidos aí!! Outra coisa q eu tentaria seria colocar a dupla de dois pontos no fim das linhas e não na próxima, embora funcione bem nos blocos acima... não custa tentar, e ficariam com essa carinha aqui
