pacote não tem candidato a instalação

Sou novata no linux e estou apanhando muito pra fazer qualquer coisa..
nada que eu tento instalar funciona..

segue erro que estou encontrando ao instalar qualquer pacote:

fernanda@Fernanda:~$ sudo apt-get install synaptic

o mesmo erro ocorre para qualquer outra instalação.

não sei mais o que fazer ou onde pesquisar..

Execute:

$ sudo apt update
$ sudo apt install -f
$ sudo apt install synaptic

e veja se da certo.

Abra a central de programas, procure por synaptic e instale.

Então alguém k-gol ele pra você... pois eu acho que repositório PPA não vem por padrão.

Sua source.list está bem poluida e com muito ppa, algum deles pode estar zoando seu apt.
Se o PC é novo tenta ver na page de suporte, pode ter algumas diretrizes.

Veja qual a versão do ubuntu está instalada:

cat /etc/lsb-release 

como root apague o conteudo da pasta /etc/apt/sources.list.d/

rm -fr /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ 

Apague todo o conteúdo do arquivo /etc/apt/sources.list (precisa acesá-lo como root, usando um editor de texto presente na sua instalação)
Gere novo conteúdo para seu sources.list no site: https://repogen.simplylinux.ch
Escolha a versão correspondente a que está instalada no seu computador. Não precisa selecionar as opções "Sources Repository"
Escolha pelo menos as opções "Main" "Restricted" "Security" "Updates"
O ideal é NÃO USAR PPA. Então só escolha algum se for imprescindível.
Copie o conteúdo gerado, e cole no arquivo /etc/apt/sources.list

Depois execute:

sudo apt-get update 

E tente instalar o synaptic.

Configuração do sistema > sistema > programas-atualizacoes > outros-progrmas > desative-todos-ppa > feche aplicativo > atualize novamente > depois tente Instalar synaptic
