Teu squid nem tá rodando.

Veja se em /var/log/ você encontra algo do squid.
Olhe e veja se tem alguma mensagem de erro. Cole o erro aqui.

Se o Squid não está rodando, o comando #squid -k reconfigure não funciona, para iniciar tem que usar o #service squid start

E veja a msg q ele vai t passar. Se vc manda rodar e num roda, é pq vc tá com algum erro no seu squid.conf ou em alguma permissão d arquivo...

Exato Renato Muito Obrigado, meu tinha colocado o autenticador mas nao tinha criado nenhum usuario. Criei um usuario e nao tive mais o problemas!!!!

No meu caso era o autenticador mesmo... se você tem algum tipo de autenticação no seu squid, comente e teste..
